MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create images of the organs and tissue within the body.
MRI has become more available within the veterinary world: it’s use includes evaluation of the central nervous system, the spine, joint injuries, abdominal and thoracic diseases.
This course welcomes radiologists, neurologists, diagnostic imagers and other MRI users as well as trainees in this advanced imaging modality.
You will learn how to understand and review the MRI technology, including artefact and Safety Hazard, and its diagnostic utility in diagnosis pathologies affecting the brain, spine and musculoskeletal system in dogs and cats.
Upon completion of this course, you will have increased your knowledge in MRI and how to integrate your new skills into your small animal practice.
A review of the MRI technology will help you to build confidence in understanding the displayed MRI images and to optimise your image acquisition.
You will be trained in lectures and laboratories to recognize the major disease affecting the central nervous system, the spine and the musculoskeletal system.
This course is part of a full study program in veterinary diagnostic imaging, consisting out of 5 courses of 5 days duration each.
This course will be held in China, in English language with consecutive translation in Chinese.
