Dr. Piegols earned his undergraduate and veterinary degrees at Michigan State University. He then completed a small animal rotating internship at Cornell University, followed by a small animal surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Piegols subsequently pursued fellowship training in surgical oncology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Piegols is currently an assistant professor in small animal surgery and integrated oncology at The Ohio State University. Research interests include hepatobiliary surgery and early cancer detection methods.
