Patrick qualified from Onderstepoort in 1998 and soon after moved to the UK, where he spent two years working as a locum veterinarian in small animal practices. Thereafter he co-owned a thriving veterinary practice for six years before embarking on a year-long journey through Africa.
Returning to South Africa, Patrick developed a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery and veterinary dentistry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while back in the UK, he pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Dentistry.
In January 2022, Patrick joined Cape Animal Dentistry Services as a resident under the European Veterinary Dental College, continuing to enhance his dental expertise.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoys kite surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, and trail running.
