Häggström, Jens Prof. Dr.

Prof. Häggström is a leading expert in veterinary cardiology with over three decades of experience in clinical research, education, and academic leadership. He earned his DVM from SLU in 1990 and completed his PhD in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) in 1996. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) and has held key roles in the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology (ESVC) and ECVIM. His extensive contributions include leadership in international expert groups on canine heart disease, multiple faculty and university committees, and numerous research programs. Prof. Häggström has received several prestigious awards for his scientific achievements, including prizes from the Royal Academy of Agriculture and Forestry and the Swedish Royal Science Society.
