All study programs consist of a consecutive series of courses in a specific discipline of your choice, complemented with distance learning in between courses. In some disciplines, completing a study program with some additional coursework, successfully passing the respective examinations, and keeping a case log will allow you to obtain a certificate issued by the University of Luxembourg (UL).

The master title “European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine” is awarded after completing a study program and additional courses, passing the respective exams, keeping a case log, as well as writing case reports and a master thesis.
VetUpgrade seminars focus on acquiring standard operating procedures as tools for the assessment and optimal management of common problems in daily small animal veterinary practice. They are centered around the presentation of individual hot topics, connected to each other within a clinical theme. Veterinarians are able to upgrade their level of clinical competence, combining knowledge with practical hints that promote best practice in an attractive and convenient way.

IEVS (the International E-Learning Veterinary School) is a project of ESAVS Office for Asia. IEVS online learning focuses on topics, case reports and specific examination/treatment modes within a discipline.
VetUpgrade seminars are three days in duration with an optional online follow up in cooperation with IEVS, the International E-Learning Veterinary School. Experts present tips and tricks for comprehensive clinical assessment and how to refine commonly used veterinary techniques and treatments. Knowledge is presented through a mixture of case studies of the most frequently encountered problems in small animal practice, both medical and non-medical management issues and how to solve them professionally. Background knowledge is incorporated to provide relevant context.
ESAVS Courses in Asia excluding Mainland China ESAVS courses offered in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan are accredited and count towards the ESAVS Certificate (CASVM) and Master (MASVM) programmes, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Certain courses may be offered as standalone continuing education programmes and may not contribute towards these qualifications. The accreditation status of each course will be specified on its respective course page.
ESAVS Courses in Mainland China ESAVS courses offered in mainland China are not currently accredited and do not count towards the ESAVS Certificate (CASVM) and Master (MASVM) programmes. However, participants wishing to pursue these qualifications may apply to have courses completed in mainland China considered for recognition as an external course, subject to individual assessment and approval in accordance with the applicable programme requirements.
