Laura Selmic is an Assistant Professor of surgical oncology at the Ohio State University.

Laura Selmic graduated with a Bachelor’s in Veterinary Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2004. Following two years in private practice and an internship, she completed a residency in small animal surgery at Texas A & M University in 2010. In 2011, she completed a clinical fellowship in oncologic surgery at the Flint Animal Cancer Center, Colorado State University. Laura Selmic spent 2 years as a research scientist at Colorado State University and completed a Master of Public Health degree with focus in Applied Biostatistics in 2013. She was an assistant professor at University of Illinois from 2013 to 2018. My research interests include imaging to enhance surgical planning and assessment of surgical margins, cancer epidemiology, clinical trial and study design, and animal models of cancer including spontaneous disease models.
