Dr. Charlotte Keller grew up in Switzerland where she received her degree in veterinary medicine. In 1986 she moved to Canada where she trained at the Ontario Veterinary College, OVC, to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) in 1990. Shortly afterwards she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO).

She remained at OVC as a faculty member teaching veterinary undergraduate and graduate students and performing research for 15 years. Her love for the mountains made her move to the West Coast of Canada, British Columbia, where she opened her own ophthalmology referral practise. She is actively involved in several committees of the ECVO and continues to teach students rotating through her practise as part of their education, and to teach veterinarians through lectures and workshops.
