Dr. Hana Cernochova graduated from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno in 2016 and she continued there with her research and finished her PhD thesis (Urinary tract diseases in rabbit and guinea pigs) in 2021. Since 2016 Hana works as a full-time veterinarian and professor assistant at Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic mainly focusing on small exotic mammals’ internal medicine and surgery, avian and reptile emergency services. During her studies dr. Hana Cernochova spent time on internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Georgia in Athens, USA (supervised by prof. Stephen J. Divers and Joerg Mayer, BvetMed DVM, Dipl ACZM, ECZM), the Brisbane Bird & Exotics Veterinary Service in Queensland, Australia (supervised by Deborah Monks, DVM, BVCs CertZooMed, FACVSc, DipECZM, DVM Sasha Miles, DVM Emma McMillan, DVM Kimberley Tozer, DVM Jess Cove, DVM Tiffany Teale) and the sea turtle rescue centre Kura Kura on Nusa Penida, Bali. Besides her job, her main interests are traveling, growing plants and a couple of exotic pets and rescued cats.
