Dr. Natalie Gedon is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist practising at a small animal hospital in Ettlingen, Germany.
She graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna in 2017, where her passion for dermatology began while shadowing Dr. Lucia Panakova. Her diploma thesis focused on adverse food reactions in dogs. She participated and organized the ESAVS Dermatology courses. Following her studies, Dr. Gedon was a clinical study coordinator in the small animal dermatology service at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. There, she completed her doctoral thesis on cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants and their impact on serum IgE testing in atopic dogs, under the guidance of Prof. Ralf Müller. After a rotating internship, she pursued a dermatology residency at North Carolina State University, where her research focused on Pemphigus foliaceus under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Petra Bizikova. Dr. Gedon became a Diplomate of the American and European College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2023. She has a strong interest in autoimmune skin diseases and allergies. She enjoys travelling, hiking, diving, gardening, and spending time with her cat in her free time.
