Dr. Domenech graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine in 1996 from the
“Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona”, Spain. From 1996 to 1997 he worked as a general practitioner in Reus (Tarragona, Spain). From 1997 to 1999 he taught three cardiology courses for ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies). From 1998 to 2000 he worked for a clinic in Barcelona (Spain) as a chief of the cardiology department. From 2000 to 2001 he performed an internship training period in Milan, Italy. From 2001 to 2004 he completed a residency program in ECVIM-CA (cardiology) in Milan, Italy obtaining the ECVIM-CA (cardiology) diploma in 2006. In 2008, he received a Master of Science degree in echocardiography for dogs and cats. From 2006 to 2011 he worked as a specialist in cardiology in a referral clinic in Milan, Italy and Barcelona, Spain. Since 2011 he is the chief of the cardiology and interventional cardiology department at the referral center “Istituto Veterinario di Novara”, Italy. He has been a member of the examination committee and he currently is a member of the credentials committee of the ECVIM-CA for the speciality of cardiology. Since 2014 he has been the director of a ECVIM-CA (cardiology) residency program at the “Istituto Veterinario di Novara” , Italy. He is an author of international and national articles, book chapters and studies presented in national and international courses and congresses.
