Reto Neiger gained a Swiss Veterinary degree in 1988 and after finishing his Dr.med.vet-degree he completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine in Bern, Switzerland and Louisiana, USA. From 1999 to 2003 Reto Neiger was a lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK and from 2003 to 2016 he was Professor and head of the Small Animal Internal Medicine Department of the University in Giessen, Germany. Between 2017 and 2019 he was working as internal medicine specialist in Germanys largest private small animal clinic in Hofheim. Since December 2019 he is country medical director for IVC Evidensia DACH, the largest European veterinary group with > 1600 sites across Europe. He is a Diplomate of the American and European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He has lectured for over 20 years internationally on many different topics of internal medicine and trained residents, interns, doctoral students as well a veterinary students in many countries and clinics.
